Mediation
Mediation is a voluntary, non-adversarial process using a trained and impartial neutral to guide parties to a peaceful resolution. Mediation empowers parties to agree to solutions that the Court could not or may not order, making their result both creative and cost-effective. Mediation can offer enormous benefits to parties in terms of controlling the course their case takes, saving time, preserving confidentiality and getting to a final result in a less stressful and expensive way than traditional litigation can afford.
Attorney Phillips has taught mediation at the University of Wisconsin Law School since 2013. She acts as a mediator to help resolve cases of all kinds. In the mediation process, she provides legal information, guides your negotiations and drafts the necessary legal documents. If needed, she can also assemble an interdisciplinary team of financial professionals, a child/family specialist to address issues involving any children, and other specialists to inform your options and decisions.
